Weekend iPad Wallpapers – Plain Jane Style

This weekend nothing flashy or Apple-logo-related caught my eye when browsing round for iPad wallpapers. But a range of very Plain Jane style walls in the always-excellent Pimp Your Screen app did.

I’ve always been a believer in having images that are subtle enough to let app icons continue to stand out strongly as home screen wallpapers. I’ll happily go with crazier, brighter images on the iPad’s lock screen, but try to keep the home screen walls from distracting too much when looking for an app icon.

In amongst this week’s fresh content in Pimp Your Screen are a series of very plain, very fine dot pattern images in a selection of colors. I like the gray and the dark blue best, but there are also a much lighter gray, a light turquoise-y sort of blue, a light green, an orange, a light pink, a red, and more.

Here’s how my two preferred colors look in use as my iPad 2’s home screen wallpapers:

I’d love to see some of your favorite iPad wallpapers, or hear about your favorite sources for them.  If you have cool walls to share, please add a link in the comments or share some images at our Facebook page.
