I think the next model in 2013 should be call the Brand New iPad. Consecutive releases can be called the Magical New iPad, the Revolutionary New iPad, or the Insanely Great New iPad. What’s in a name ;)

For USB and sd reader buy the Camera Connection Kit. That is how you make the iPad’s use those components

The ipad 3 may well be the last ipad I buy. I’ve enjoyed ipads 1 and 3, but really want flash, usb and sd card input.

Easiest way is to look at its connector port. If it has the long-time Apple standard 30-pin port then it is the iPad 3 released in March of this year (which you would have had to have ordered prior to 11/2). If it has the new, smaller Lightning port then it’s an iPad 4 / 4th gen.

So my ‘New’ ipad was delivered last week, how do I know if I have received the 3rd or 4th generation?
