Fox’s hit animated comedy show ‘Family Guy’ has a brand new iPad game in the App Store – Family Guy: The Quest for Stuff.
Here’s a slice of the App Store description for the game:
After another epic battle with the giant chicken, Peter Griffin has accidentally destroyed Quahog! Play for FREE and rally your favorite FG characters (even Meg) to save the city in a hilarious new adventure from the writers of Family Guy. Or don’t, and regret it forever!
EXCLUSIVE CONTENT ONLY ON THE APP STORE: Play the “Fool’s Gold” quest line to help Peter realize his dream of becoming filthy rich! ONLY available for players on iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices!
If the game is 10% s funny as the show then it would still make for a hilarious bit of entertainment on the iPad. I installed it this morning just to take a quick peek – and I have to say the imagery and animations are pretty impressive.
Here’s what’s not so impressive to me right off the bat – the game is free but offers (or more like nearly demands) In-App purchases that range from $1.99 all the way up to $99.99. I’m a Family Guy fan and the game looks fun after just a few minutes with it, but I just can’t stand games that are almost immediately nagging you to pay up to move through them quicker – especially when there are In-App purchases at the huge numbers that are in this game.
Here’s an App Store link for Family Guy: The Quest for Stuff. I’m sure we have plenty of Family Guy fans here – what do you think of this game, and any iPad game with iPad In-App purchases at the $50 and 100 levels?
