Five Free Promo Codes for River of News for iPad To Be Won

Contest Deadline: Saturday November 13th – 2:00PM US Central

Today we’ve got another great promo codes contest for you. I’ve used a slew of RSS apps on the iPhone and the iPad, and River of News is far and away my favorite. It syncs quickly and flawlessly with Google Reader, offers a simple and pleasing UI, and is rock solid and speedy to use. It’s an essential app for me, one that gets a lot of use every single day.

It’ normally priced at $3.99 and is more than worth every penny. For details on how easy it is to enter for a chance to win a code for this stellar app, read on …

How To Win:

*** Just add a comment to this post, making sure to fill out the “email address” field(don’t worry, it won’t be displayed and we won’t use it for any other reason than to contact you if you win) – and you’re in with an entry for our random drawing of winners on Saturday. ***

*** For a bonus entry to increase your chance of winning, take a look at the App Store page for River of News HERE and tell us what features it has that are most important to you in an RSS reader app. Or if you’ve got a suggestion for a new feature that’ll do just fine as well for a bonus entry.

That’s it! We’ll draw our two winners on Saturday (11/13/10) sometime after 2:00 pm US Central time.

*** Please Note: The promo codes are only available for the US App Store, so you will need a US-based account to make use of them – keep this in mind when entering the contest.

  1. I'd love to get this RSS reader app, I've just tried to not spend $ on a feed reader app at this point.

Far and away the most important feature that this app has and not all RSS reader apps do have is Google Reader integration. It's somewhat standard now but I wouldn't even think about getting a reader app that didn't have it.

  2. I like the forward to Instapaper, and the ability to swipe back and forth or scroll up and down. I'd love a free copy!

    1. Being able to scroll streams and easily change with an an iPad friendly swipe, makes this a musthave for me.
I have tried quite a few. But this one really seems different and more complete – hope I get the chance to use it free soon ;-)

  3. It sounds like River of News can replace the 4 other news readers I use on my iPad because it has all the features that they individually lack. The ability to scroll through the content without the need to click through multiple times to read an article makes this sound like the ultimate way to read streams instead of blurbs.

  4. Great, I really need a new RSS client for iPad :) especially if it supports multiple accounts…actually, does it?

    1. Not sure what you mean by multiple accounts. Multiple Greader accounts? If so, no idea – because I can't think why you'd want that.

  5. River of News looks great! I particularly like the features of unlimited feeds, infinite scroll, and saving pics to my iPad's photo album. This app looks like a must-have so I'll gladly throw my hat in the ring for the drawing!

  6. I would like to get a promo code to test River of News. My suggestion would be to have a 'pull-to-go-to-next-article" feature, like Reeder (my current favorite RSS reader.

  7. Very nice RSS app, latest update makes it look even nicer. Good to see devs also putting out surveys as they did to see what people want and expect in future releases and what should be a priority in their dev work. Would love to try it.

  8. I'd love to get one! the fact that it saves photos to the Photos App is a huge plus. The interface looks pretty too. It doesn't hurt to have a little eye candy in reading news feeds.

  9. google reader integration is by far my most important feature, but a close second is great user-interface – after all, if i didn't care about UI, i would just use google reader in safari or download one of the free RSS apps.

  10. I have been waiting for a really good reader app that syncs well with Google Reader. To have one that looks as clean as this and saves photos to my album, a feature I would find very handy, makes it worth the wait. To win a code for a free app would be better than great!

  11. I currently use Feedler. But it seems this app just blows it away, in terms of features. Would love to win a copy! : )

  12. I love the idea of infinite scrolling, and that River of News is always in sync with Google Reader. And a big "yes" for me on being able to send an item to Instapaper for reading later. Sounds like a great app.
