Help Me to Help You?

Apologies for the cheesy post title – but hopefully some of you remember that funny scene in Jerry Maguire. Anyway, here’s a subject I’ve been thinking about for quite a while:

I hope that the iPad tips & tricks and reviews here are helpful to you – but I’d always like to be able to offer more help and advice, and to find the best ways to do that. One way that occurs to me is to be able to provide more answers to your iPad questions. I get quite a number of these via Twitter and email, but the answers I give to those are usually just seen by one person or perhaps just a few on Twitter. So here’s an idea I’d like to try out for this:

iPad Questions Answered on the iPad Insight Google+ Page Every Friday

I’ll take your iPad questions on the iPad Insight Google+ page every Friday afternoon. This way if there are common questions or topics that many of you have, the answers will be there for all to see. Obviously I won’t be able to answer every single question, but I’ll do my best to provide good answers as often as I can, even if it’s just proving a pointer to where to find the right information / answer. I’ll give this a try starting today and see if it’s of interest to enough of you to make it a regular thing. Hit the break for the details and a request for your help …

Here are the details:

iPad QandA

At 4:30 Eastern today I’ll put up an iPad Questions post at the iPad Insight Google+ page. Fire your questions up in the comments to that post and I’ll do my very best to give answers.

I’ll keep an eye on that post until at least 6:00 Eastern.

If there’s good interest in it this week, then I’ll do the same again next Friday.

Your Help, Your Suggestions

I’d love to hear your thoughts and ideas on what you’d like to see from this site, and from our Google+ page and Facebook page. Is the question and answer session helpful? Would you like to do Google+ video hangouts where you can ask questions / bring up topics? What other things would you like to see on those pages? Are there certain topics you’d like to see covered more or covered less here?

I should mention here that I currently have plans to significantly reduce the number of ads on the site. It’s going to take a little while (a few months I hope) to make that happen – but it’s right at the top of my list of goals for the site.

Please share your thoughts and suggestions in the comments. I look forward to continually improving the site with the help of your ideas and suggestions.
