New Mobile Theme for iPad Insight

iPad Insight Mobile theme

If you’re browsing iPad Insight tonight on an iPad, iPhone, or Nexus device you’ll notice we’ve now got a new mobile theme for the site.

The new theme just went live about 30 minutes ago and we’re still working out a few kinks, so expect to see some more changes and enhancements to it over the next day or so. For now, here are a couple of the notable features of the new theme that I hope you’ll like:

– It’s got a bit of a magazine feel to it – with thumbnails for posts that you can swipe through for quick access.

– Easy access to our most popular categories: iPad App Reviews, iPad Accessory Reviews, Best Free iPad Apps, and iPad Tips & Tricks.

– The theme looks great in both portrait and landscape mode on the iPad.

Oh, and it also offers one tap access to the ‘desktop’ version of the site that you’ve always seen before.

I hope you all like the new mobile theme. Please share your thoughts on it in the comments and of course let us know about any problems you spot.

  1. I love the new layout. Two things I’d recommend which would make it near perfect. First is the ability to increase the font size. Being 51 my eyesight is not what it used to be. The other thing would be the ability to swipe to the next screen, without having to tap the next page number at the bottom of each screen. Other than that it’s perfect, keep up the great work. Thank you.

    • Thanks for the feedback Paul. Very glad to hear love the new theme.

You should be able to swipe to the next screen in articles and between articles.
