Wanted: an iPad Game Reviewer

Are you a big-time gamer on the iPad? Love iPad games and maybe love the idea of writing reviews of them? If so I’m interested in hearing from you – as I would really like to find a regular iPad game reviewer for this site.

I cover a few games, but mostly in the sports or trivia or family-oriented areas. I’ve never been too big a fan of first person shooter or even console style games that are often massively popular in the App Store – so I would like to have someone on board who is a ‘hardcore’ gamer and who is able to write great reviews of them.

If this sounds like something you might be interested in, read on for a few details on what I’m looking for and how to apply …

Here are a few things to be aware of about the iPad reviewer role I’d like to fill here:

— This is a volunteer, unpaid position. You will receive promo codes for many or all of the games you review though.

— I am looking for someone who has a lot of gaming experience on the iPad and hopefully on some other major platforms. Someone who enjoys not just playing iPad games, but talking about them. Someone who is able to make readers feel as excited about a hit new game as they are.

— You don’t need to be a hugely experienced writer, but you do need to be solid as a rock on grammar and spelling. I’m OK with helping an inexperienced but knowledgeable and passionate new writer along, but I just don’t have time to be editing basic grammatical mistakes.

If you’re interested in putting yourself forward for this role, please send an email to patrick AT ipadinsight.com (replacing AT with @ of course) and let me know the following:

— Why are you a good fit for this?

— What do you think are some of the key things that make for a good iPad game review?

— What are some of your favorite iPad games and which are your favorite types of games? What other platforms do you play games on?

— What, if any, writing experience do you have? Include links if appropriate.

Please note that lately I am snowed under with work and life and new approaches for apps and games  and accessories to cover here. So I apologize in advance for the fact that I won’t be able to respond to all submissions for this role; I’ll only respond to those who I feel may be a good fit.

Thanks in advance to those of you who choose to apply – look forward to hearing from you.
