How to Find AirPrint Printers for the iPad

AirPrint is an iOS feature that lets you print wirelessly from your iPad or iPhone. It’s a great feature that has got better each year – because the range of wireless printers that support it has grown substantially.

By now there are thousands of printers that support AirPrint, including printers from 24 leading manufacturers. That number has grown from 15 in just the last year – and includes major brands like HP, Epson, Lexmark, Canon, Brother, Dell and lots more.

It’s very easy to find printers that support AirPrint. Here are some of the best ways:

– Check this Apple support page that lists all current AirPrint printers from all the different vendors.

– Look for confirmation of AirPrint support when buying in an online store, or just ask a salesperson in a retail outlet.

– Visit Apple’s online store and their AirPrint Printers section.The wireless printers there start at right around $100.

handyPrint is a Mac app that lets you print wirelessly from the iPad (or iPhone) to just about any printer, even legacy printers that don’t support AirPrint.

If you’re tired of looking for which printers will work with Apple’s AirPrint and allow you to print wirelessly from the iPad, there’s a nifty little app that will let you print to just about any printer, even if they don’t support AirPrint: handyPrint by Netputing.

AirPrint – How to Find Compatible Printers

AirPrint, the ability to print wirelessly from the iPad and iOS devices, is one of the great features of using iOS devices. Some of the most commonly asked questions about AirPrint are all about whether it will work with a specific printer.

The good news is that Apple provides good, clear information on exactly which printers are supported by AirPrint. The even better news is that the list has grown tremendously over the last 6-12 months and now includes well over 500 printers from 15 different manufacturers. Here are the 15 leading printer manufacturers who have printers on the AirPrint supported list:

AirPrint Supported Printers List – Twice as Many Printers as 6 Months Ago

The list of printers that support AirPrint wireless printing from the iPad is growing, rapidly. When I last posted about the supported printers list back in June there were a total of 217 printers from 6 manufacturers. Today there are over 430 supported printers from 13 manufacturers.

Here’s a little more detail on which printers from which vendors work with AirPrint:

Brother: 63 printers from the DCP, HL, M, MFC lines.

Canon: 95 printers from the IP, MG, MX, and Canon Pro lines.

Dell: 4 printers from their B and V lines (eg B1260dn and V725w)

Epson: 92 printers from lines including Artisan, EP, PX, Stylus, Workforce, WP, and XP lines.

Gestetner: 11 printers from their DSc and MP lines.

Hewlett Packard: 57 printers from their Deskjet, Envy, Laserjet, OfficeJet, and Photosmart lines.

Infotec: 8 printers from the MP line.

AirPrint Supported Printers List Grows Again – Adds Samsung Printers & More

AirPrint is Apple’s service for wireless printing from the iPad and iOS devices. The service makes it simple and quick to print from any application to supported printers via AirPrint from your iPad.

The list of supported printers used to be very short and used to include only one big manufacturer – Hewlett Packard (or HP). The list has been growing slowly but steadily and has been updated this month – Samsung printers have been added, bringing the list of supported manufacturers up to six. Here’s a bit more detail on which types of printer from which vendors are supported by AirPrint:

Hewlett Packard: 47 printers supported including printers from these series: Deskjet, Envy, Laserjet, Laserjet Pro, Officejet, Officejet Pro, Photosmart, Photosmart E, Photosmart Plus, Photosmart Premium, Photosmart Wireless, and Topshot Laserjet Pro.

Epson: 60 printers supported including printers from these series: Artisan, EP, ME Office, PX, Stylus, Stylus Office, Stylus Photo, Workforce, Workforce WF, WP, and XP.
