Foxconn and Apple Play a Little Chicken with China

According to both Bloomberg and the Wall Street Journal, Foxconn has gone on the record saying that they can shift US iPhone production out of China so that Apple can avoid a hit on tariffs, if necessary. While it was made clear that Apple hasn’t yet asked them to do this yet, these comments were calculated and aimed directly at Beijing.

Reports of the Coming HomePod Release Are Starting to Trickle In

Last week, there was a report from tech analysts GBH that the HomePod would be released in the next 4 to 6 weeks. While I saw this news as potentially encouraging, I don’t usually jump on board with rumors until more than one source reports the same or similar news. Apple Slices- The Calm Before the Storm


Apple news has been fast and furious the last two weeks, but this week things seem to have gone into neutral. There is no shortage of WWDC Keynote predictions, and there are the obligatory “Apple is Doomed!!!!” articles, as usual this time of year. I will have none of that here, so I will keep it brief this week and stick to actual news.
