Callaway Digital Arts – one of the truly excellent publishers of iPad eBooks for kids – are celebrating their one year anniversary with a great sale. All of their apps are on sale for just $0.99 this week, from August 22-26.
Among the titles included in the sale are several that are favorites for myself and my daughter: the beautifully animated Angelina Ballerina’s New Ballet Teacher, three Miss Spider eBooks, and the wonderful and funny ‘The Monster at the End of This Book’ featuring Grover from Sesame Street. There are also a couple of Thomas the Tank Engine titles included in the sale.
Here’s one quick measure of Callaway Digital Arts well-deserved success:
It’s been a year since the inception of Callaway Digital Arts, and since then we’ve accomplished a lot: we’ve launched 9 titles–all which have reached #1 in their categories in the App Store–and we’re well on our way to reaching 1 million downloads.
There are also a few ‘grown-up’ titles from Callaway in the sale – three from Martha Stewart, covering recipes for smoothies, cocktails, and cookies.
Check out all these top titles at their sale price this week on Callaway’s App Store page:
Wild About Books is an award-winning picture book; and it has now been rendered as an eBook app for the iPad. The print edition has won these awards:
-Mom’s Choice Platinum Award
-ALA Notable Children’s Book
-E.B. White Read Aloud Award
-Book Sense Book of the Year

She did a lot of resting and a lot of daytime TV watching during her days off – and grew bored of both after a couple of days.
Together we found a number of good iPad apps – mostly stories and books – to keep her and I entertained during the last couple of afternoons. Just in case any of you have not-so-little ones with time on their hands and a thirst for iPad entertainment, I thought I’d share some of the great apps we found and enjoyed this week. Hit the jump for just a very quick rundown of these …
