1Password for iPad, one of the leading password manager apps for the iPad, has had a nice little price drop to start this week – from $9.99 to $7.99.
1Password Pro – which is a universal app for iPad and iPhone – is also currently on sale, reduced from $14.99 to $11.99.
Here are some of the key features of this superb app:
• Securely store your website names and passwords so you never forget them again
• Synchronize everything with 1Password for Mac or Windows (sold separately).
• Automatically log into Web sites to avoid remembering and typing usernames and passwords
• Save important information like credit cards and membership numbers
• Jot down other notes too sensitive for stickies or bar napkins
• Hardware-accelerated AES encryption and Auto-Lock keep your data protected even if your iPad is lost or stolen
• All cryptographic operations are performed using standard iOS libraries to ensure there are no security gaps or backdoors
• Data Backup & Restore option available on Mac, Windows and Linux.
It also offers sync via Dropbox, a feature I like a lot. If you’re a Mac and iOS user, 1Password is by far and away the best choice for keeping all your passwords and sensitive login details safe. It’s easy to use, solid and reliable, and syncs beautifully between all your devices.

• Save important information like credit cards and membership numbers

According to the good folks at Agile Web Solutions, development on the Windows version of their superb 1Password app is ‘coming along wonderfully’. In the latest beta version of it, Dropbox syncing is fully functional.
1Password has been my favorite and my essential password manager / secure wallet app on the Mac, iPhone, and iPad for a long time now. A solid Windows app (not for my needs, but for that handful of folks out there who run Windows) used to be one of its very few weak points. It sounds like that is just not the case anymore.

eWallet for Mac is available as of today. This has been a long while coming and will be a real sight for sore eyes for a lot of fans of eWallet. For those who don’t know the app, it is one of the leading secure password manager apps on the iPhone and across a number of mobile platforms.
It is hugely well-respected, has won numerous awards for best app in its category, and is a feature-packed wallet application. It’s one big missing piece until today (for those of us who use a Mac) was the lack of a Mac desktop client – and I’m very happy to see that can now be crossed off the eWallet wish list.

1Password can now sync automatically using Dropbox!
Also known as “syncing to the cloud”, this amazing feature allows you to keep your Mac, Windows, and iOS devices in sync at all times, even when they are running on different networks. (Yes, I did say Windows; 1Password for Windows is currently in beta testing)
Oh boy – this is some fantastic update news. 1Password Pro – the excellent password manager app for iPad, iPhone, and desktop – has been recently updated, and has added the ability to sync to ‘the cloud’ via Dropbox.
1Password and Dropbox are two of my most favorite and essential apps – across desktop, iPad, and iPhone. Putting the two of them together is like a chocolate + peanut butter moment times 100.
