An Apple MagSafe Battery Pack and a Southern Snowpocalypse

Snow at home

What do those two things have to with each other? Very little, but bear with me for a moment.

Since Apple announced MagSafe magnetic wireless charging along with the iPhone 12, people have been wondering when we would start seeing MagSafe battery packs for iPhone. The second question is whether Apple would replace their Smart Battery Case with MagSafe battery pack of their own.

Apple Folding iPhone Rumors from Bloomberg Are Worth Paying Attention To

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 Flex Mode

Rumors that Apple is working on a new folding iPhone are nothing new. I wrote about a report on Apple testing folding screen prototypes from Samsung from the Chinese-language site EDN  back in November. However, when such reports come from Mark Gurman at Bloomberg, it’s worth a lot closer consideration.

Living With the iPhone 12 Pro Max: Does MagSafe Make a Difference?

One great Apple innovation that fell by the wayside in the name of progress when the MacBook and MacBook Pro both went all USB-C was the MagSafe charge connector. It was a hit from the moment it was announced, and its loss was widely lamented by Apple fans.

The iPhone 8- Touch ID is Not the Same as the Headphone Jack

I have taken a pretty hard stance of avoiding all of the too-early to mean anything rumor madness surrounding the coming iPhone 8. We are getting close to the point where the rumors will start to become more and more consistent as the device that will become the new flagship iPhone heads toward final production. Until then, we still have a few back and forth debates raging over whether certain features will be either disabled at release to be turned on with a later update, or cut from the device altogether. I discussed three of these features in question in yesterday’s article, The iPhone 8- A “Sense of Panic” Might Be Just What the Doctor Ordered, and Touch ID was among them.
