Apple are now selling refurbished iPad 2’s on their online store.
They’re currently at $50 less than new, and those being offered at the moment include the 64GB WiFi only models, and both 32GB and 64GB WiFi + 3G models for both AT&T and Verizon.
There are also a number of the original iPad refurb models available.
If you’ve got any friends or relatives who are looking for a little savings on an iPad or iPad 2 without the hassle of Craiglist or eBay, you might want to direct them to this Apple store page:
This week Apple has knocked down the prices for refurbished models of the three WiFi-only iPad models. So the three refurb models now go for:
- Refurbished iPad 16GB Wi-Fi: $429 ($70 off)
- Refurbished iPad 32GB Wi-Fi: $499 ($100 off)
- Refurbished iPad 64GB Wi-Fi: $599 ($100 off)
Pricing for the iPad 3G refurb models has not been cut this week, but there are still existing refurb deals on the thee 3G models.
Some people flinch a little when they hear ‘refurb’ but all refurbished iPads are tested and certified and come with a standard one year Apple warranty. They also boast a brand new battery and outer shell, and free shipping.
If you’re thinking on an iPad for yourself or a loved one this holiday season, these refurb deals are well worth a look at the Apple store site: http://bit.ly/fbAc6y

Good news if you’re looking to buy an iPad around now. Apple has started selling some refurb iPads in their online store. They only list the Wi-Fi models at the moment – and each of them is priced at $50 below the standard cost for a new model.
I know some people are put off by the idea of a refurbished model, but I think in some ways they’re a safer bet than a typical new model. My first iPhone back in ‘07 was a refurb and it’s still around (though no longer in use as a phone).
