Things for iPad Updated – Adds Support for Repeating Tasks

ThingsIcon

Things for iPad – the iPad version of the superb task manager app for iPad, iOS and Mac – has been updated, to Version 1.4. Here’s what’s new:

• Repeating Tasks. Our flexible and robust repeating tasks feature is now also available on the iPad. Create recurrences in your Scheduled list, either based on a calendar pattern (e.g. every last day in the month), or at a fixed interval after completing the previous task (e.g. 2 weeks after completion).
• Sync repeating tasks with the Mac version of Things.
• Bug fixes and other improvements.

A nice add, but like many other Things users, there is really only one update I’m wanting to see for Things – cloud (or OTA) sync.

You can find the latest version of Things for iPad in the App Store now, priced at $19.99.

Things for iPad Update Coming Soon

ThingsUpdateTweet

It looks like Things – the superb task manager app for the iPad (and iPhone and Mac) – will soon be getting an update for its iPad edition, to Version 1.1.

I just spotted the tweet shown above – from Cultured Code, the developers of Things – a short while ago.  As you can hopefully see in the screencap, the update has already been submitted for Apple’s approval and it will add the ability to manage areas of responsibility, and create mixed projects, as well as an improved move dialog and some bug fixes.

Things is one of my favorite and most used apps on both desktop (laptop really) and mobile devices, so it’s good to see continued enhancements to it.

iPad App Store – First Impressions

iPad App Store staff favorites

The iPad App Store went live this afternoon. Or, more accurately, iPad apps are now live on the App Store.  There’s no separate app store for iPad apps as far as I can see so far.

After all these weeks of anticipation and app developers having to be cagey about plans and dates for iPad app releases, it is great to see a large number of major apps ready with custom iPad versions – including lots of familiar icons for some iPhone favorites.

I’ve spent a fair while nosing around the App Store and checking out the new iPad apps, and I’ve got some quick first impressions on how things look, on which notable apps are in there, and on iPad apps pricing.
