I am a Christian husband and father of 3 living in the Southeastern US. I have worked as a programmer and project manager in the Commercial and Industrial Automation industry for over 19 years, so I am hands on with technology almost every day. However, my passion in technology is for mobile devices, specifically Apple's iOS and iPadOS hardware and software. My favorite is still the iPad.

WWDC Preview Part 1: All’s Quiet on the iPad Front

In a little less than 24 hours, Tim Cook will take the stage and Apple’s 2019 WWDC Keynote will begin. It’s usually a lengthy event that will reveal the company’s software roadmap for all of its devices and services for the next year. Considering that Apple only has a few public-facing events per year and that WWDC is the only one that touches on all Apple’s entire ecosystem, it is probably the biggest. In fact, with the iPhone having leveled out in growth, WWDC should become the unquestioned king of Apple events going forward.

Deals: iPM 2-in-1 Wireless Charging Pad

So AirPower is officially no more. Apple may not have been able to deliver a high-end wireless charger, but plenty of other companies have solid basic models available. iPM’s 2-in-1 Wireless Charging Pad is one such product worth taking a look at.

Logitech’s Slim Folio Pro: A Great Keyboard Wrapped in a Mediocre Case

I bought Logitech’s Slim Folio Pro with the intent of keeping it and reviewing it over a long period. Unfortunately, It just didn’t cut it to the point where I took it back to get my money out of it before the return window closed. Even though I had read reviews that weren’t great and knew that the design was different from the Slim Combo case that I loved, I still thought the keyboard would be enough to keep me using it.

Federighi Fires Back at Google’s Sundar Pichai

I have no reason to trust Sundar Pichai when talking about Google’s sudden love of all things privacy, as detailed during this year’s Google I/O and a subsequent self-serving op-ed in the New York Times. Google may be better than Facebook by a wide margin, but using customer data will always be key to their business model. As such, they can never be as focused on user data privacy as Apple currently is.

Apple’s Rumored iPod Touch Refresh Finally Arrives

Rumors of a new iPod Touch started popping up early this year and some expected that we might see it this Spring when the new iPads Air and Mini arrived. However, that event came and went with new iPads and new AirPods, but no new Touch.

Powerbeats Pro: I Think My Wife is in Love

I thought that my wife would love the new Powerbeats Pro wireless earbuds from Apple, but there is no way to be sure about these things. I’ve been wrong before in guessing my wife’s tastes. Even after almost 22 years of marriage, I still don’t have all the answers and I’m sure any husband can relate to that. She can be on the picky side about certain things and it just happens that things she puts on or in her ears are among them.

Apple is Still Trying to Make its Butterfly Keyboard Design Durable

Apple released a new refresh of the MacBook Pro recently and reveled that they did more than just bump the specs. They also made additional alterations to their troublesome butterfly keyboard mechanism to prevent the infiltration of foreign debris and the issues that brings with it.

Deals: Nomad Stand for Apple Watch

After a year of just sitting my first Apple Watch on my bedside table with its charging cable dangling about, I started to see the value of using a stand. It is just a far more organized way to charge the device in a safe and efficient manner. Let’s be honest- it also looks a lot nicer not having the charge cable and puck sitting out in the open. I’ve used one ever since.

Powerbeats Pro Arrive!

I would say MY Powerbeats Pro arrived, but they aren’t actually mine. I am taking a look at them so I can write a little about them, but they will belong to my wife very soon. Wednesday was her birthday, so these are her Combo bday/Mother’s Day gift. She was kind enough to let me test drive before she takes them so I won’t get in the way of her listening pleasure once I hand them over.
