Tired of looking round at expensive iPad case options made from fancy materials? Ever wanted to have a go at whipping up a homemade case for your magical device? If so, you might want to take a look at Coregeek’s iPad Duct Tape Folio Case. Here’s its short backstory:
A few weeks ago I was thinking of some of the cool items I’ve seen around the web that were created out of duct tape. Of course there’s the proverbial duct tape wallet but I’ve also seen other projects like messenger bags and even clothing. After giving it more thought I recently decided to combine two of the most amazing inventions ever: the iPad and Duct Tape. So, without further ado, I present the iPad Duct Tape Folio. It features easy insert and removal with elastic holders and felt lining for iPad protection.
Eric (coregeek) also decided to document the build process and is offering it as a free ‘instructable’ for anyone who wants to have a crack at making one. You can download it as a PDF or view it on the web (warning, it’s spread over many pages that you have to click through). Check it out here, and let us know how you get on if you try it, or of you’ve come up with your own homemade iPad case:
