iPad Power Users and Developers Get a Small Win from Apple

IPadOS 15

There was some disappointment among power users when iPadOS 15 was announced because we didn’t get some of the features and apps that many of us were hoping for. I didn’t get the enhanced external display support that I was really hoping to get this year. Others were hoping for things like iPadOS versions of Apple’s pro apps, multi-user support, or even some elements of macOS being ported over. The point is that, while the new features we did get in iPadOS 15 look great, none of us got everything we wanted.

In case you missed it, there was an interesting story that surfaced yesterday covering the opinions of a group of Apple users on iOS and iPad OS. The polling, which covered 3,000 iPhone and iPad users, was conducted by electronics reselling site SellCell and had some interesting results. Primarily, it says that a fair percentage of people find iOS 15 and iPadOS 15 to be less than exciting.

Gurman is Back to Give Us Some of the Goods on iPadOS 15

I guess spoiling a future iPad Pro with a glass back a few days ago wasn’t good enough for Mark Gurman. Today he’s back to spill more beans on iPadOS 15 two days ahead of Apple’s WWDC Keynote. Like I said yesterday, it’s all part of the game when it comes to Apple leaks.

My iPadOS Wishlist…Again

I had an admittedly ambitious wishlist for iPadOS 14 ahead of WWDC last year. Because of the impact of COVID, I knew we wouldn’t get all of what I proposed. However, I thought at least two or three of these proposed features would make the cut. Unfortunately, that wasn’t to be. Only one thing I mentioned, Spotlight Search, was even touched, and it only got a cosmetic overhaul.
